CHRISTY L. HUNSBERGER, Associate
Christy is an associate in the firm’s Oakland office. She focuses her practice on construction defect and tort matters.
Christy has experience advising public and private clients. Prior to joining Ericksen Arbuthnot, she clerked for city attorney offices in Livermore, CA and Roseville, CA. In both offices, she regularly advised city staff on diverse issues such as tort liability, land use, employment, ethics, contracts, and the First Amendment. Christy also clerked for the law firm Herum Crabtree in Stockton, CA, where she contributed to civil cases in various stages of litigation.
During law school, Christy was an associate managing editor and a staff writer for the Pacific McGeorge Global Business and Development Law Journal. She received an honors ranking in a trial advocacy course after presenting a full-day criminal trial. Christy was on the Dean’s List from 2005-2008 and received a Barrister’s Scholarship each year of law school. She is also a member of the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society.
Christy is originally from St. Louis, MO, but is now happy to call Northern California home. When she’s not practicing law, she enjoys leading an outreach committee at her church and teaching Sunday School. Christy loves hiking in the East Bay parks, cooking, interior decorating, and country music. She lives in Livermore with her husband and their cat.
