Kara is an associate in the Firm's Oakland/East Bay office. She has represented homeowners in all aspects of construction defect litigation, up to and including trial and arbitration. In addition, she has represented clients in a diverse range of matters involving both counseling and litigation, including bankruptcy, employment, landlord/tenant, and criminal matters. While working for the United States Bankruptcy Court, she drafted orders and decisions on evidentiary hearings and law and motion matters involving all aspects of bankruptcy law.
Kara was the Senior Technical Editor for the Santa Clara Law Review and a member of the Honors Moot Court. She won the Best Appellate Brief in Advocacy, the Witkin Award for Constitutional Law II, and the CALI Award for Law of Nonprofit Organizations.
