The Alameda County Bar Association Barristers held their Fifth Annual Golf Classic on September 25, 2009. Ericksen Arbuthnot, Attorneys at Law, sponsored the 10th hole at Tilden Park Golf Course in Berkeley. Natalie Seid, a lawyer in the firm's Oakland office, is a member of the ACBA Barristers Executive Committee and is a member of the mentorship program. She has been nominated to be the secretary of the Executive Committee in 2010. Natalie has been a member of the ACBA since joining Ericksen Arbuthnot in 2007.
The Golf Classic drew 50 players, including several commissioners and judges from Alameda County, as well as other attorneys that practice in Alameda County. In addition to the annual golf tournament, the Barristers also host various socials and MCLE programs. Their mentorship program matches mentees with mentors for a six-month term.
The ACBA's main mission is promote the professional development, ethics, and civility in the practice of law; promote diversity in the legal community; promote civil rights and the fair and equitable administration of justice; improve access to legal services for residents of Alameda County and promote communication and cooperation among the bench, the bar and the community.
