(January 22, 2010 - Walnut Creek) - Ericksen Arbuthnot today announced that Norma Pedroza Chavez has been promoted to partner in the Los Angeles office. Chavez is a member of the firm's real estate and construction practice groups and has been with the firm since 2001. She holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from Wellesley College.
The Los Angeles office also added Kathleen Wilcox as an associate. She is an experienced civil litigator and holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law and a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego-Revelle College. She is a member of the Advisory Board at Fremont College, an ABA approved paralegal college in Cerritos, CA, where she teaches Torts, as well as Legal Research and Writing.
Christy Hunsberger has joined the firm as an associate in the Oakland office. She focuses her practice on construction defect and tort matters. Prior to joining Ericksen Arbuthnot, she clerked for city attorney offices in Livermore, CA and Roseville, CA. She holds a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a B.A. from Principia College.
The San Jose office added Brian McFarlin as an associate in the construction and real estate practice groups. He holds a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law and a B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. During law school, Brian was on staff (2006-7) and was production editor (2007-8) for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly.
